"Mummy, can you get Chinese New Year biscuits for me to bring home? I mean...bring back to Buffalo?"
OOPS. Buffalo might be my (temporary) home, but KL is my home home.
Went out eating and shopping with the gals sans two BFFs who were MIA. I could stay here forever.

HOME
I feel like I'm still stuck in the past. And everyone has moved forward. Or could it be that I have moved forward, and people are still stuck in the past? Regardless, this is still me, it's all in my skin. I don't know where I start, and where it ends. Or where it ends, and where I start?

Fire Alarm
My worst fears came true today.
7.30am - Shower and get ready for work
7.45am - FIRE ALARM -Some friggin' idiot decided to pull a fire alarm at 7.45am while I was butt-naked in the shower. Thanksalot.
8.00am - Went hurrying down the stairs with wet hair, sweatpants, winterjacket, and boots
sans socks.
8.30am - Went back to room. Already late for work. Crap. Can't decide what to wear.
9.00am - Already late for work still. At least I'm dressed now. But I feel like eating ramen.
9.01am - Cooking ramen.
9.03am - Eat ramen. Decide to download Sex and the City to watch while eating ramen.
9.10am - Ramen was too hot. Finally eating ramen and watching Sex and the City.
9.25am - Very late for work. Uh-oh. Hop on bus.
9.49am - At work. Punch in. Quickly get down to business.
12.55pm- Bored at work. Blogging while chatting (while writing letters and serving customers).
Don't ever pull a fire alarm when I'm in the shower again. Ever.

Feminist?
I was out with some friends Friday night, guzzling (okaylah, not really guzzling) on cherry beer and eating some munchies. We happen to be talking about relationships (do you EVER reach an age where you stop talking about relationships) and how some guys keep a homing device on their girlfriends. "Where did you go? Who were you with? What did you do?"
"You're a feminist, Melissa, you treasure your freedom."
HUH? I don't burn my bras you know. It reminds me of an Alanis Morrisette song, " I believe that one and one makes two". And NO, I am not a feminist.
EDIT: Two years later, I am A FEMINIST. And a proud one.

Niagara Falls

I like eating icicles!
My cousin came up from Australia to visit good ole Buffalo this weekend which we spent at Niagara Falls. I'm actually relieved that we had a good time (Buffalo isn't exactly happening central!) and quite often kept on asking him if he was having a good time. We spent a good portion of the day at the falls, taking pictures, watching me slip in the snow, and went home to catch bumper to bumper episodes of America's Next Top Model (I really like this show!) and then of course, eating infamous buffalo (chicken) wings. I had one Blazin' Buffalo Wing which almost made my throat close up and my tongue swell up. It's mad spicy!
Speaking of happening-ness, I just gave myself a negative cool factor by spending my Monday night-Tuesday morning in the library working on a take home test. I went to the library at night, and didn't come home till after class the next day. Thank God for coffee and expresso. Gotta raise my cool quotient back home in Kay-Elle. Hopefully. 11 more days!
Malaysia, Oh Tanah Airku!
